Nepal Night 2012

The Nepali Students’ Association is organizing its third annual Nepal Night 2012 program on March 31st from 5:30 pm onwards at Schweitzer Event Center. The program will feature dresses, dances, and performances that will reflect the diverse cultures of Nepal.  The event will also have authentic Nepali food cooked by Nepalese students and their families. Food is included in the ticket price and will be served after the cultural performances.

The program is NSA’s opportunity to present Nepalese culture to WSU’s student body, faculty and staff, as well as the larger Pullman-Moscow community. Conversely, the program presents a rare opportunity for WSU as well as the Pullman-Moscow community to experience the culture of a distant place like Nepal right here in Pullman!

NEPAL NIGHT 2011

Nepal night is an event with live performances, costume shows, slide shows about Nepali arts and Nepal, and Nepali dinner presented for the students of WSU. This event is organized annually since 2010 by the Nepali Students’ Association (NSA), an active RSO with an objective to share our cultural experiences and to increase student awareness and INVOLVEMENT. With the spirit of maximizing IMPACT on-campus, the Nepal Night will be an educational as well as entertaining. The event will serve delicious Nepali cuisine with traditional and modern songs, and colorful dances. Along with these experiences, the event will also present information about various regions of Nepal including the peoples, arts, cultures, and costumes. This will be an awesome opportunity for the Pullman/Moscow community to INVOLVE in international culture, arts, and cuisine.

Spicy curry perfumed the air as women in vibrant-colored dresses danced, bracelets clanging, filling the Gladish Community & Cultural Center on Saturday night.

About 350 people gathered to experience foreign food and culture at the first annual Nepali Food Festival.
