On Friday (021109), NSA was invited to deliver a lecture on “Glimpses of Nepal” at the coffee hour program of International Student Center. Program was held at room no. L46 of the CUB. We could not see as many audiences as we had expected to. Program was nicely presented. Kumud Poudel showed a dozen of slides on overall topics, such as geography, race, ethnicity, religion, festivals and tourism. His part of presentation lasted for about 15-20 minutes. Because of his busy schedule, he had to leave the program hall immediately after presentation. Prabodh Dhakal talked about Mount Everest and Lord Buddha. Beautiful pictures were shown in the Mt. Everest slideshow and a video was streamed for the Buddhism. Although Buddhism part of the show seemed little longer, audiences liked it very much. Program ended with a couple of questions about Nepali culture, dress and Buddhism.
Besides international audiences, we Nepalese were also present in the program. Kedar jee, Deepak jee, Upendra jee, Achyut jee, Prabodh jee and Ramji jee morally supported Speakers.
